and Where I've worked

  • Spatial Planning/ Drafting/ Modeling

The traditional architectural skills always come in handy when it’s time to communicate a well defined -yet still intangible- idea to a wider audience. It’s important to be able to do this well, since even the best concepts can seem futile if they’re not supported by clear, beautiful and communicative imagery.

  • Testing/ Visualization/ Prototyping

The Integrated Design background I acquired in Cologne, Germany, has also left a mark on the way I tackle new design issues. Models and methods like the ‘double diamond’, journey mapping, and storyboarding have become a regular part of my ‘toolkit’.

  • Facilitation/ Lecturing / Assistance

“The best way to learn is to teach” - Frank Oppenheimer. I couldn't agree more. I’ve had the honour and opportunity to assist in a number different subjects, including Urban Studies, Design and Economics, and Service Design. Each time, I’ve found it highly rewarding, although I find that a right mix of lecturing and facilitation is always the key. I enjoy sharing (and learning) with others in a fun and innovative manner.

  • Evidencing/ Managing /Building

Evidencing/ Managing /Building The things that designers and - perhaps even more so- architects do can often feel disconnected from the reality and constraints of the market. Having worked in branding, as well as marketing I know my way around formulating a feasible strategy, and then bringing the big mission statements down to bite sized tasks.
